New educational initiative to help North East healthcare and life science companies better market their products
The CIM in partnership with Newcastle Business School and experts from the North East’s healthcare and life science industry is launching a series of educational events in 2018 to share marketing knowledge and expertise with the regions healthcare and life science companies. The first of these events held on 15 February 2018 will look at how market research can significantly improve a company’s success.
Nick Hutchinson, Medical Ambassador for CIM in the North East, who is organising the event explained, “The commercial success of products and services for medical or healthcare applications often depends on the identification of unmet customer needs and the development of an offering that meets them. Attending this event will allow delegates to improve their company’s strategic marketing initiatives, develop better market offerings and gain a competitive edge.”
Chaired by Dale Athey, CEO of Orla Protein Technologies, who will be joined by three expert speakers: Dr Josephine Go Jefferies, Assistant Professor in Marketing at Newcastle University Business School, Colin Tristram, Director at HistoCyte Laboratories Ltd and Holly Shiel-Redfern, Commercial Director at Explain Market Research, the event will include presentations and a panel discussion, during which the audience will have the opportunity to ask questions and gain insight into addressing marketing specific challenges.
The event, sponsored by NRG and Newcastle University Business School, is titled ‘The commercialisation of medical products’ and is open to CIM members and non-members.
