Your brand can be one of the most valuable assets you own, perhaps more than some of your products. So it’s important that you manage your brand correctly and make sure it’s working for you.

Our speakers have created brands that have made a real measurable difference to their companies, and they’re here to share with you how you can do it too.

Olando Salina, Polyseam & Lesley Gulliver from The Engine Room
Polyseam had established itself as a manufacturer of adhesives, sealants and fillers but manufacturing in this sector was under threat. Since working with The Engine Room, Polyseam's annual sales have increased by 744%, and the new product they developed together has also gained export deals in eight new countries, increasing the business’ export sales turnover by £1million. The Engine Room and Polyseam were awarded with the prestigious DBA Design Effectiveness Grand Prix for their work together. Find out how what they did and how they used design to rejuvenate a well-known brand.

Nick Lock, Carrot Juice Creative
Design is pointless! …or at least it is without a clear intent and objective, a potent and relevant message, clarity of who you are and who you’re addressing. Nick says that branding isn’t just a logo, sign, brochure or a label: it’s an expression of a company’s soul and design is just one of the sharpest implements in the tool kit for success. It is his belief that it is a designer’s job, if they are asked to represent a brand in any way, to challenge the brief and client before suggesting anything.
Nick will be exploring why, in every encounter with clients, we start by pulling back from the brief, delving into the depths of their dreams and ambitions, establishing their true skills, passions or product differentials before we even consider getting our crayons out.

Rise and Design lasts for approximately three hours, and includes networking before and after speakers. There is a chance to pitch at the end of the speakers' presentations, and you can book a stand for the whole event. We encourage all delegates to stay after presentations for networking - it is one of the most valuable parts of Rise and Design.
