Design Network North member elected BIDA board member

Design Network North Member and product design agency Octo Design are delighted to announce that their MD Dan Martin has been elected as a BIDA board member.

BIDA, the British Industrial Design Association, is a prestigious membership organisation for professionals and graduates working in product, interaction and service design.

They advocate the benefits of good design education and practice to business, government and its agencies.

Octo Design are one of a handful of north east members of the British Industrial Design Association, and with only six places on the nationwide board, this is a fantastic achievement for Dan and the team.

Registered BIDA members are the most qualified and must have a wealth of experience in order to satisfy the Association’s strict criteria. A ProBIDA member must have at least 6 years experience, and be able to produce two outstanding case studies of design, research or design management.

Dan’s successful election to board member was announced at their AGM last month.

Octo Design is a valued member of Design Network North. Design Network North is part of RTC’s new programme called ‘Designing Better Business’ – launched in 2016 - which will provide support for north east businesses looking to continue to innovate and design better world leading products.
