At Cottam they are a little different. Founded in the brush industry in 1858 the business has grown, evolved and diversified over the years. The design function offers a wide and varied service to their main brands - Cottam Brush Ltd (Brushwares), Croglin Ltd (Bespoke Timber Products) and Bower Brands Ltd (ecommerce).

To strengthen their team and support business growth they are on the lookout for new talent, a Product Development Designer to be exact. Their online ecommerce brand is blooming and they have big plans ahead. To keep the momentum going they need a person who can research, analyse and document competitor products, identify product improvements, work as part of a team to develop new product designs and design and create awesome product packaging.

For the right person this will be a ‘walk in the park’. So, to keep you on your toes they plan to involve you in their other brands to, to help support them in all ways creative!

COTTAM is a valued member of Design Network North. Design Network North is part of RTC’s new programme called ‘Designing Better Business’ – launched in 2016 - which will provide support for north east businesses looking to continue to innovate and design better world leading products.
RTC was founded in 1989 with the sole purpose of helping businesses innovate and create new higher value products. Today, the business operates out of offices in Sunderland, Gateshead, Leeds and Daresbury and specialises in helping companies develop new products, embed new skills through training and access funding for innovation.
