2018 Brings Expansion for DNN Members 49digital

49digital are thrilled to announce the appointment of Peter Maughan as UX Designer and Business Development Manager. After graduating from Northumbria University with an MA in Design in 2016, Peter soon started working as a freelancer with 49digital on several web design and user experience projects.

'Towards the end of 2017, we found out that Peter was on the lookout for a more permanent design post and we really didn’t want to let him go!’  says Helena, Director and UX Consultant. 'After contacting Victor Ottaway, Graduate Internship Manager at Northumbria University, Peter joined us from the 1st January in a full time position and we’re all thrilled to have him on board! The Graduate Internship Scheme has allowed us to take on another full time member of staff in order to help us continue to grow our business this year and work on more new and exciting projects.’

As well as taking on another member of staff 49digital’s Director, Helena Hill, a regular speaker on UX Design, is soon launching a User Experience Consultancy working with growth-focussed businesses and organisations to improve their online presence, client experiences and internal processes. Helena sees a huge opportunity to work on a consultancy basis with companies wanting to uncover key UX issues and increase revenue by introducing a user-centred digital strategy.

'We understand that many businesses want to improve their on and/or offline customer experiences but don’t have the budget to employ someone to manage this on a full-time basis’ says Helena. We hope that our new consultancy will make what is no longer a 'nice to have' but now an essential part of business development and strategy, affordable and flexible’.
