The Design Portal is LIVE

We’ve been working on this for some time now, and we are delighted to tell you that the Design Portal is finally live and ready for you to sign up!

To give you a quick overview, it’s an interactive directory for businesses involved in design. You can browse through all the organisations by their sector, and by the sectors they’ve worked for, as well as check out their portfolios.

If you find a few organisations you like the look of, and want to send a brief to, you can! Use our supply chain tool to add a business for each stage of your design process – and send a brief to all of them. This also notifies us, so we can keep an eye on things and and make sure each organisation gets back to you quickly.

The best way to understand the Design Portal is to start using it! Register now for a basic profile, or upgrade to Design Network North Member status for an extended profile with a full portfolio

If you have any issues or suggestions – please let us know! It’s a brand new system that we know is likely to have some issues, and we want to keep improving the Design Portal and see what works and what doesn’t. Don’t be shy, tell us what you really think.

 

Design Network North is part of RTC’s new programme called ‘Designing Better Business’ – launched in 2016 - which will provide support for north east businesses looking to continue to innovate and design better world leading products.
RTC was founded in 1989 with the sole purpose of helping businesses innovate and create new higher value products. Today, the business operates out of offices in Sunderland, Gateshead, Leeds and Daresbury and specialises in helping companies develop new products, embed new skills through training and access funding for innovation.
